Tijdens Playtime verwelkomen we jullie op een
sfeerrijke gamenocturne.
19.00 uur: docu Katoo Bourdon + talk hosted by Allie Weis: 'Women and the world of gaming'
Op
internationale vrouwendag leggen we de focus op vrouwen en videogames. Hoe is
het om als jonge vrouw online te gamen, hoe is het om als vrouw in de
gamingindustrie terecht te komen,… We starten deze avond met de mini-docu 'Good Game Guys' van
student journalistiek Katoo Bourdon om daarna een boeiende talk met host Allie
Weis (DAE) te volgen. De talk en de docu gaan door in het Engels. Daarnaast
zijn er ook op het festival ook heel wat vrouwelijke games te spelen zoals de
presentatie van girls make games, Cathex van Sine Ozbilge, de gamereeks van
Claire Kwong,…

20.30 uur: concert Monomono
Monomono zorgde voor een fantastische soundscape bij de VR-experience Cathex en deed hetzelfde nog eens over op Playtime. Overal in de schouwburg je hun fantastisch geluid horen. Tijdens dit mini-concert verrassen ze jullie met donkere post-electro klanken die ze uit hun instrumenten opdiepen.
21.30 uur: concert Gameboyz II Men
Twee geschift geniale producers Dijf Sanders en Micha Volders halen hun oude gameboys boven om vanuit die old skool engines ongelooflijke beats te lanceren. Verwacht je aan een dansbare mix van techno als die van artiesten als Boyz noize of Justice.

During Playtime, we welcome you to our atmospheric Game Nocturne.
19.00h: docu Katoo Bourdon + talk hosted by Allie Weis: 'Women and the world of gaming'
On International Women's Day, we shine a spotlight on women in videogames. What's it like to game as a young woman online? How do women experience the gaming industry in the workplace? The evening kicks off with the mini-documentary Good Game Guys by Katoo Bourdon, a journalism student. This will be followed by an insightful talk hosted by Allie Weis (DAE). Both the talk and the documentary will be in English. We're also proud to showcase the incredible games made by women, including projects from Girls Make Games, Cathex by Sine Ozbilge, and game series by Claire Kwong.

Monomono created an incredible soundscape for the VR experience Cathex and has crafted a special one for Playtime 20.25. As you make your way through the City Theatre, you'll be immersed in the captivating sounds of Monomono. During this mini-concert, they will surprise you with dark post-electro sounds, brought to life through their instruments.
21h30 uur: concert Gameboyz II Men
Two brilliant yet eccentric producers, Dijf Sanders and Micha Volders, dust off their old Gameboys to create mind-blowing beats using retro engines. Expect a mix of techno, reminiscent of Boyz Noize and Justice, that'll have you dancing all night.
